Scott Evans, Principal Scientist AI-Machine Learning, GE Vernova
Dr. Scott C. Evans is a Principal Scientist AI-Machine Learning at the General Electric Vernova Advanced Research Center in Niskayuna, NY. He is a named inventor on 57 issued US patents and co-author of over 50 publications in the areas of Machine Learning algorithms, Causal Inference, Renewable Energy and AI. Scott holds a PHD in Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, an MS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Connecticut, and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech. Before joining General Electric, Scott served as a nuclear-trained Submarine Officer in the United States Navy. Scott teaches Information Theory, Data Science, and Machine Learning as an Adjunct professor at the University at Albany.
